FAQWhat to Expect
Sublative results are immediate and continue to improve over the course of a few months.
- Improved elasticity
- Improved radiance
- More lifted
- More even tone
- Smoother, more supple texture
- Fewer acne scars, discolorations and sun damage
Sublative sessions are less than one-hour long. For optimum results, 3 to 4 visits are advised 4-6 weeks apart. Each treatment produces incremental improvements to the gradual formation of collagen and, as a result, gradual improvements to your appearance. The total number of sessions depends on you skin's condition. As energy enters the skin, some patients experience a warm, prickly sensation comparable to a rubber band snap, depending on the areas treated and energy settings. A red or pink flush resembling a mild sunburn is common after treatment. Topical anesthetic cream is used to reduce temporary discomfort during treatment. Most patients report no serious after-effects like crusting or peeling and go back to work as usual following treatment.
How does Sublative work?
the ergonomic Sublative applicator delivers bipolar radio frequency energy via a matrix of either 64 or 44 electrodes in the disposable applicator tips. The RF energy generates fractional deep dermal heating in the region of the electrode matrix to induce skin injury, thus eliciting a wound healing response. Mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discoloration are reduced, and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.
How is the Sublative treatment tolerated by patients?
During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red "sunburn" appearance and feeling is also common. Topical cream is used to reduce discomfort during treatment.
When can patients expect to see results?
Post treatment, they may notice tone and texture improvements as a result of increased levels of beneficial collagen and new healthy skin cells which are produced. With the treatment's dermal impact, mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discolorations are reduced. Typical treatment protocol is 3 to 4 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the skin condition of the patient.
Is everyone a good candidate for Sublative Rejuvenation?
Sublative Rejuvenation is the only fractional treatment that can be used on all skin types. Some skin conditions (such as eczema) may prohibit patients from receiving the treatment. Consult with Dr. Tanne to determine if Sublative Rejuvenation is right for you.
What results can be expected?
Patients can expect a noticeable reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and other scarring, brown spots, sun damage and fine broken blood vessels. In addition, patients will see an improvement in texture and skin laxity. On average, most results appear over a period of three to six months, but some patients notice results immediately after treatment.
What happens after eMatrix Sublative Rejuvenation?
Most patients have mild redness and swelling for a few hours after the treatment. You may apply make-up to the treated area after the Sublative Rejuvenation procedure. Results will develop over time and with subsequent treatments. Full results can be appreciated at three to six months following the last treatment. Maintenance treatments may be necessary to maintain the results.
Can this be combined with other treatments?
